Khepri

This is an image for my character Khepri on The Secret [link] which is an awesome new intermediate/advanced RPG that's rapidly gaining members. Join if you'd like to meet him (and Theseus, Apollo and Chantico)!

I'm really happy with this image. When I saw that horse image on my computer (I have no idea where I got it from, it's been on there for ages) I just HAD to make my new draft stally a silver dapple. At least I think that's what that colour is called. He was going to be a black Shire with the classic blaze and four white stockings, but now he's a little more unique.

Does anyone have any idea what breeds of draft horse carry this colour? I've never seen it before.

When I cut out the horse and pasted it over the background I just looked at the differences in colours and nearly gave up. The background was so blue, but the horse had such rich colour. I didn't want to ruin the horse's gorgeous colouring. So the background is not nearly as blue as it was before, but I think it all works. I actually like the text placement for this one, but normally I hate my text.

Aaaaaand what bothers me in snow scenes is that no one EVER does footprints in the snow! What, did the horse just drop out of the sky trotting? So I made my own footprints. They're not great, but they're THERE. And his shadow is actually blue, like all the other shadows in the image! It really looked ugly when it was a black/grey shadow. I'm pleased.
