This is what I've submitted lately. It's also organized into folders according to which website it was made for, but most of the things worth looking at are in Featured anyway. ^.^

Random from Super awesome stuff made for me

Thanks for the gorgeous kiribans and gift art! They make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I'll help you show them off, shall I?

Random Favourites

These are some of the works that have really impressed me with their composition, detail, lighting and originality.

Commissions

For a limited time, Spec is a cheap Photoshop whore. :D (Note: the cheap part is the limited part, as price goes up with demand. I'll probably offer commissions for quite some time.)

Commissions are US$30 for a single-horse image. Prices vary based on difficulty and for multiple subjects. Paypal preferred since everything else takes ages to clear.

Thanks for your support!

I'm a casual photomanipulator who loves to burn the midnight oil with Photoshop and some podcasts when I don't quite feel like writing. I generally fail at making art for myself.

Come join my RPG and let's hang out!

Wah! Things have been so busy that I know I've missed out on a ton of great art. If there are some pieces that you or an artist you admire have done in the past couple months that you think I should check out, please link me! Any medium, any experience level, any subject welcome.

Sorry guys, I'm the worst at keeping up on this site! Degree #2 is eating my arty time, but I promise I will be back eventually. I always am.

I should do a stock use feature sometime! I love the creative ways people have been using my stock, and I hope my comments on your work haven't sucked too much. :D

Here are a few beautiful things you may have missed:

  • Eating: crackers, cream cheese and hot red pepper jelly
  • Drinking: tea (not surprisingly)

Thank you so much! I have an old walkthrough here [link] that might help, but I made that before I had a tablet so it's good to supplement that with mane & tail drawing and eye-drawing tutorials. :D

Mostly it just comes down to lots of fiddling to make things fit together. I have no natural artistic talent, but I've learned to notice colours and tones enough to help me make a horse match its surroundings. It takes me forever to finish anything, because things like detail drawing really don't come easily to me.

It's lovely people like you who take the time to comment that keep me going. Otherwise the frustration of not being able to live up to my own standards and the resulting insecurity might take the fun out of it for me. I love the feeling of finishing something and seeing people's reactions to it, but it seems the more I learn the more I push myself, and then I get intimidated by the amount of work ahead of me. :XD:

But don't despair! My earlier work wasn't nearly so time-consuming, especially before I had a drawing tablet. Having a good eye for choosing stock that will work well together (in angle and lighting) will save you a lot of trouble. Get some experience before you charge into difficult tasks like water pieces, coat recolouring, and repositioning.

Good luck!
